Similar to Optical Digital above, the PCM Digital connector is usually a single RCA type connector, often orange in colour.  This signal delivery method uses Pulse Coded Modulation.  Where AM modifies the Amplitude of the signal to represent data, and FM uses Frequency, PCM modifies the the width of the pulses transmitted in the waveforms to convey the data.
