Audio Input Trim

Not all source equipment is created equal in terms of output gain.  In theory all source devices will output their maximum signal value at 1V p-p, however voltages between 0.5V and 2V are not uncommon.  When skipping between sources on your amplifier, the sound level should be consistent.  Some amplifiers provide the ability to equalise disparate source levels and this facility is called input trim.
