interconnect |
Tying all these devices together is
the Audio interconnect.
While a lot of sales hype surrounds these products, the basic
job of any interconnect is to move a signal from one place to
another with as little loss as possible and as much protection from
external interference as possible.
In general fatter leads are a good sign of large conductors and
good shielding.
Arrows on Interconnects: high end audio interconnects will often
have an arrow on them - this IS NOT the direction the signal should
travel in, rather the end of the cable that has the shield
connected. This should always be the centre of the system (usually
the processor).
